A few years back I wrote a blog piece about five things I had learned after five years in business. It was well received and over the last three+ years I have come to realize that a lot of the questions we get as site-civil engineers. entrepreneurs, and even as people, parents, volunteers, and advocates are pretty common. Some of the questions I’ve asked others have opened up new worlds as well, so LandWorx is going to run it back with a monthly post called – Five Things! We hope you find some value in the technical, engineering, and personal stories and examples – and that you will provide feedback with your own additions!
Five Things… the Month of May in Indy!
1 – Fast Friday at the track. The track is great for the entire month, but seeing folks from the AEC industry have a great time and reconnect with each other is special!
2 – Construction! From road work to being in full swing on coordinating our projects – it’s always a slew of coordinating, kicking off, and answering questions for contractors. Responsiveness – from all the team members – really separates the good from the bad and we have seen both!
3 – Weather. The good – sunny and warm starts to take over. The bad (but good to watch) – rain. Seeing past projects really bloom and watching the designs for ponds, rain gardens and swales really take off and work how they are supposed to is validating for us AND our clients.
4 – ENERGY!! Between the amazing Caitlin Clark with the Fever & the Pacers playoff run this year, it has been such an energetic and exciting addition to the normal May happenings! Let’s keep it going!
5 – Anticipation. Projects on the horizon, vacations coming up, school letting out, and a summer full of possibilities are all right at our doorstep! Have a GREAT rest of May!
